Lists proper IMAP for Gmail along with everything else we've already seen in the leaked videos...

Quite why my internets are being so evilly slow.... come on mush mush

Still waiting

Boom

And restart it did... twice, a bit scary. Then it performed a new sync on iTunes and told me "iPhone is activated"

When they wiggle it's a bit nauseating to be honest, I thinking pulsing with light might have been better, but maybe angered the epileptics ?
Maybe it's with all these other Apple updates ?

Is it automagically included in iTunes ? I'll install it and find out for you all.
Wait when did that get fixed ?
The Digg predicted Keynote time has changed to reflect my locale. This has been done very recently as I'm sure yesterday it still had me scheduled for a keynote starting well now!

but alas Digg is now telling me I have wait a further 8 hours...
You can see there is a bunch of local time guff here in the code now,

On the subject of the Keynote this gem from el Reg is doing the rounds...
http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/01/14/leaked_keynote/
Highlights include, some sales figures (a no brainer), the launch of the SDK for iPhone/iPod Touch, information on some spec bumps but nothing of the much vaulted "Mac Book Air" Which personally I think might be fooy - but I still don't think the el Reg information is valid.
I'm hoping for some ground breaking stuff on the iPhone but not new hardware. I'd like some new laptop stuff but I can't afford one anyway, although this would give it time to settle by the time I can buy one.
I'll be following along in one of the numerous places online doing a live blog... one day maybe I'll be able to attend.
live coverage pick from this smorgasbord here
Finally I'm fascinated by this nugget about the iPhone being used as a wifi camera here.

Digg lying about when mac world keynote is!

Above you can see digg.com informing me that the Jobsnote is a mere 5 days 19 and a half hours away. However it's not - I'm being robbed of some eight hours. The Keynote is actually 6 days 3 and a half hours away.
I'm in the very centre of the thing we once called Empire, the heart of Britania as my menu bar and language settings can attest to... you see I spell it colour, call it a motorway and watch rubbish tele!
The answer lies in, what is in my opinion, a very elementary mistake,

You see the above Javascript is calculating a count down on a date and time without any context - it's assuming I'm in the same place as the server... I'm not!
As http://www.hunlock.com/blogs/Its_a_Date points out: " One of the most fundamental mistakes people make when working with javascript dates on the web is they forget that the visitor to the site has a fairly good chance of not being in the same timezone as the web server" I think someone has made a "fundamental mistake"
Luckily that website also offers a solution in how to feed the Javascript date parser and not get bitten. I wonder if anyone important enough reads this to have it corrected, otherwise I'll go rushing to my rss feeds to see what St. Steve has offered up and find I'm eight hours early.
